I am certified in Pilates equipment and matwork through the Kelly Kane school of core integration since 2003. I opened Root in 2010 in Bandera, Texas. After 11 years in the glorious loft space of the "old bank" it was time to move to Fredericksburg. 

 

In 2012 I became certified in  the GYROTONIC® method and have come to adore the contrast and compliment it offers in comparison to Pilates.  I am certified in both the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® and most recently GYROKINESIS®.

Additional Pilates certifications include pre and postnatal Pilates through the Women's center for physical fitness.  I have received training in Fletcher Pilates, Polstar Pilates, Balanced Body, Evidence Based Pilates, the Alexander Technique, and the Franklin Method.

 

I holds certifications in GYROTONIC® level 2 part 1 and 2,  GYROTONIC® Archway, pathologies of the shoulder and spine,  GYROTONIC® for runners and the GYROTONIC® method for the application of Osteoporosis.

It is my goal to offer Root as a nonjudgemental facility that provide a safe place to grow in your relationship to your own body.
